About

The World Affairs Council of Albuquerque – a non-profit, non-partisan organization – educates its members about the broad range of policy choices facing the United States through speaking engagements with nationally recognized experts brought to Albuquerque.

As one of over 90 member councils of the national World Affairs Councils of America (WACA), the largest international affairs non-profit in the United States, we are a part of an organization dedicated to spreading global affairs awareness. Our membership in WACA gives the Albuquerque Council access to international and American diplomats, experts in foreign policy and national security, academic specialists, and other speakers with proven credentials. We also call on local foreign policy and national security experts through our members’ professional contacts, the University of New Mexico and Sandia National Laboratories.
