Members of the World Affairs Council of Albuquerque are eligible to programs offered by the World Affairs Councils of America including participation in the annual national WACA foreign policy conference in Washington DC, WACA-sponsored travel and student education programs.

Academic WorldQuest

WACA’s flagship student education program is an easy way for member local World Affairs Councils to reach the high school audience in their communities. Only member Councils may hold local AWQ competitions.

National Program Series

WACA administers a number of national education series with funding to cover local event costs. Programs are awarded to local Councils on a competitive basis. Recent program series have been sponsored by the European Union, Carnegie Corporation of New York, and the Korea Economic Institute.

Weekly Newsletter

WACA sends weekly updates regarding events and programs occurring throughout the National Network of World Affairs Councils. This newsletter allows Council members to stay on top of national offerings and research content for their own local programming.

National Conference

Individuals affiliated with member World Affairs Councils receive discounted pricing to the National Conference held in the fall of each year. Programming for this three-day conference includes professional development workshops, panel discussions on global issues featuring notable expert speakers, embassy receptions, and think tank visits.
