The Program: Cooperation, Competition, or Conflict? The United States and East Asia in 2025.

Tariffs imposed by the new administration in Washington have dominated the news in the nations of the East and Southeast Asia in the past year.  After decades of stressing the importance of Asia to the U.S., our policies are increasingly seen as isolationist and protectionist in the region.  This talk will focus on current security issues, political changes, and economic trends in Asia, as well as the United States’ response to these developments.
